Winston-Salem Western Film Fair & Nostalgia Convention 2015

Kudos to the organizers, fans and other celebrities who made the 2015 Winston-Salem Western Film Fair & Nostalgia Convention so much fun and a smash success for actor Henry Darrow and Team Darrow - Lauren Levian (Mrs. Henry Darrow), yours truly Jan Pippins (author of  Henry's biography "Henry Darrow: Lightning in the Bottle") and my trusty spouse/photographer Mike Pippins.

Seated: Lauren Levian, Henry Darrow
Standing: Jan Pippins, Mike Pippins

At the booth: we don't remember the joke, but it must have been funny!

Read Rick Armstrong's recent interview with Henry Darrow on
the CLASSIC FILM AND TV CAFE' Blog here:

The book SOLD OUT on the second day!
Fortunately, fans can buy autographed copies personally signed by Henry all year from our website:
(Regular softcover & ebook available on Amazon.com and regular softcover is available through other online booksellers)

Even with books sold, Henry's writing hand didn't get a rest. Between photos, festival programs, original scripts from The High Chaparral and anything else fans wanted him to sign, he was a busy guy! Here he is signing a t-shirt for fan Sherrod Baden. The beautiful lady on his left is his wife, Lauren Levian.

Speaking of books and authors, the delightful lady with Henry is actress/author Kathy Garver.
You probably remember her as "Cissy" in the classic series "Family Affair."
Read more about her and her soon to be released autobiography "Surviving Cissy" here: http://www.kathygarver.com/

It's always great to meet fellow BearManor Media authors! Kathy Garver's first book, "A Family Affair Cookbook" was published by BearManor. Filled with behind-the-scenes episode tidbits, it's much more than recipes. Find it on Amazon in softcover or audiobook:  http://www.amazon.com/Family-Affair-Cookbook-Kathy-Garver/dp/1593934580

Henry Darrow still attracts the ladies like bees to honey and was pleasantly surprised when actress Nancy Stafford ("Matlock") said she had a crush on him for 40 years.

James Baldwin of the Victory Television Network interviewed Nancy Stafford, Henry Darrow, Lana Wood and other celebrities at Winston-Salem. Lucky for you, he uploaded those interviews to YouTube here:

Lovely Pamelyn Ferdin was a popular child actress in the 60s and 70s, guest-starring twice on Henry's series The High Chaparral. She later voiced "Lucy" on the Charlie Brown specials.

When the meeting and greeting and signing was done, we discovered great food in Winston-Salem, happily cleaning our plates at homey DiLisio's Italian Restaurant and The Tavern in Old Salem (upscale casual, pictured below).

Good times & good food with good friends.
